Tool

no matter where i am or what i'm doing, i really love when i'm just out there living life and all of a sudden i hear Tool.

i drove to my brother's house last week, listening to norah jones. i stopped at a red light and hummed along with norah for a bit before my music went away and was replaced with Tool. i was confused for a minute, and then i realized it was coming from the car (late 80's black honda prelude *drool*) behind me. we started to drive and she passed me. i need to know where she got her rf modulator, because i spent the rest of my 30 minute drive enjoying the greatest Tool mix i've heard since an ex-boyfriend made a mix for me. at one point, she saw me singing along in her rearview and signaled approval with an upward nod. i got to my turn and we waved and i was actually a little sad when it faded to static and i turned norah back on.

i know i've mentioned the concept of hearing a song and having memories flood back, but it's really weird to listen to them because they're what i listened to most from '94 to '98, and that was such a weird time for me.

i think it's time for a comeback :)
